Overview

By combining her rigorous conservatory training in percussion, her voice, and her passion for songwriting, Andē creates exhilarating mallet percussion and electronic based music, performances, and social media content. She puts percussion in the forefront of all her music. Her familiarity with the medium can be heard within the exciting melodic lines, original drum samples, syncopated bass lines, and acoustic percussion instruments in her songs and live percussion instruments in performances. There are elements of new wave, pop, rock and more within her music which she writes, performs, and produces in her home in Saint Petersburg, FL. Before becoming an independent artist, Andē earned a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from The Cleveland Institute of Music in Percussion and Timpani and spent extensive time studying chamber percussion music with the group Sō Percussion. She also spent time as a drummer in the now disbanded group Sound Parlor which opened up shows for rock legends such as Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (The Doors), Barry Goudreau (Boston), Fran Sheehan (Boston), Rick Derringer, and Robin Zander (Cheaptrick). Teaching music is a passion of Andē’s. She teaches lessons privately as well as for School of Rock Tampa and Saint Petersburg. She has also gone on to commission works for voice and marimba by composers such as Andrea Mazzariello and Rob Funkhauser with her duo partner Lindsay Vasko in their percussion group TV Percussion. You can find her performing her original music live by herself as well as with her group Andē and Co. throughout Saint Petersburg and Tampa.
