Ply Thickness
The overall thickness of a drum shell effects how readily energy is transferred from the heads. Thinner shells allow the wood to fully resonate and maximize its total contribution to the overall sound. As a shell increases in thickness, it is less resonant but louder, with more and more of its tone projected to the audience. With Masterworks the choice is yours.

Bearing Edge Options
Nothing influences a drum’s overall response more than the bearing edge. That’s why Masterworks gives you five bearing edges from which to choose, and with our new hybrid option, allowing you to mix edge types on batter and resonant side of the same drum.

With Masterworks it's all about aesthetics and sound. The width of the Bass drum hoop gives a significant attitude to your bass drum.

The same tireless pursuit of perfection that goes into our legendary drums is found in our drum hardware. With Masterworks, you get to choose which hoops, lugs & hardware finish to go on your custom drums. Your drum hardware can be plated in your choice of Chrome, Nickel, Black Nickel, Gold, or Black Chrome plated drum hardware finishes to make your kit as unique as you are.
