The Pearl Stratosphere pipe band drum head uses the most advanced and innovative state-of-the-art technology to bring you a world class sound.

The head has been developed with extensive consultation with some of the world's top players.

Every aspect of the head has been analyzed to not only create a great sound but also to enhance durability. The Pearl Stratosphere head is made of ultra tough Aramid fibers to which is applied a thin top coat using a special lamination process.

The material is then wrapped around a welded steel core which is then crimped under extreme pressure. This superior method of fixing the head to the hoop is designed to ensure that the head can be tuned to the right pitch without slipping.
