Jeff Potter

As the drummer with a five piece on stage band in the groundbreaking rock-opera, Rent. Jeff performs eight shows weekly at Broadway's Nederlander Theater. Born in Rohde Island, Jeff migrated to Boston's original rock and jazz scene where he also studied with the late great Alan Dawson.

Moving to New York in 1982, Jeff stayed active wuith bands, singer/songwriters, studio's, and also edged into the show scene. This led to work on and off Broadway with the Radio City Orchestra as well as U.S. and European tours.

An original member of Rent, Jeff started with the show in a small theater in New York's East Village and continued throughout its' success in winning the Tonys' "Best Musical" award and a Pulitzer Prize.
