Gary Seligson - Broadway

Gary Seligson is a busy free-lance drummer in NYC.  For over twenty years, he has worked as a drummer/percussionist for Broadway shows.  He has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists and has been featured in Modern Drummer magazine three times.

He is/was the drummer for the Broadway companies and is on the cast albums of Tarzan (composed by Phil Collins), Wicked (Grammy award-best show album), and Elton John’s Aida (Tony award- best score, and Grammy award-best show album).  Gary’s contributions in Aida earned him a credit for Dance Arrangements as well.  Other Broadway credits include The Lion King, Rent, Chicago, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Dreamgirls, The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm, Cirque du Soleil's Wintuk, and others.

Gary has performed and/or recorded with a wide range of artists including: Elton John, Leann Rimes, Phoebe Snow, Phil Collins, Brian Johnson (from ACDC),Ben Vereen, Heather Headley, Toni Braxton, Joel Grey, Ronan Tynan,Taylor Dane, Billy Porter, Adam Pascal, Idina Menzel, and The Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Gary is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford where he studied with Alexander Lepak.
