Dann Gillen was born into four generations of professional drummers. In 1982 Dann started his professional career touring and recording with a vast list of artists. He has appeared around the world in Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Japan, Mexico and Canada. He has had the pleasure of recording hundreds of projects that include movie trailers, soundtracks, film scores, demos and many CD's.
Dann just returned from touring Europe with this year's Edison Award (Dutch Grammy) recipients for Best International Group, Venice. Dann appears on all of their "2-meter sessions" television specials as well as the CD that was made from their first show. That CD went gold in Holland in 2004! A DVD of "2-meter sessions" shows has just been released.
Dann has proudly played Pearl Drums from his first kit, at age eight, until now, as an endorsee, for over ten years. His father, Tommy Gillen was an original Pearl Drums endorsee from the day the company opened their doors.
