Announced just last week, the Iowa-based metal legends will return this summer, headlining the 2012 Mayhem Festival! Gearing up to bring their pyro-filled, pandemonium-based live circus to an amphitheater near you, Slipknot promises to deliver an even crazier show than they ever have before, which many find to be an improbable feat in its own. The 26-date trek across the U.S. kicks off on June 30th at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California continuing on throughout North America, and ending on August 5th in Hartford, CT.

Fueled by the frenzied footwork and flashy hands of Pearl artist, Joey Jordison, Slipknot continues redefine the metal world with their signature live show which is considered a “must see” by fans worldwide. Complete with shooting flames, rising and spinning drum sets, and 8 of the most psychotically passionate musicians on the planet, Slipknot delivers an explosive live concert that pushes every sense to their ultimate extreme. As stated by Slipknot percussionist, Clown, “Slipknot is headlining this summer's Mayhem Festival and it's going to be unlike anything you've ever felt, sensed, or seen. You miss this, you miss everything. Everyone seems to think that there's a chance we're gonna go away. This is the farthest thing from the truth. Stay sic and don't ever judge us."
