Angel Roche' - Looner

The band formed in 2001 as a duo consisting of husband and wife members Zoë and Angel Roché. The members of Looner have cited musical influences as varied as british new wave acts The Cure and Depeche Mode to salsa acts Ruben Blades and Hector Lavoe as instrumental to their sound.

They toured as the opener for the Roots Rock Reggae festival in 2004, a tour that was presented jointly by the sons of Bob Marley (Ziggy, Stephen, Damian, Julian & Kymani) and the William Morris Agency- "Back To The Roots", Pollstar, June 22, 2004. Looner will release their Ziggy Marley produced second full length album in 2008.

Zoë was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Film Composer Basil Poledouris. As a film composer she has composed scores for films such as Kurt Voss'-Down and Out With The Dolls, Larry Clark's -Bully and John Waters'-Cecil B. Demented. As an actress, Zoë has appeared in films such as Sailor's Girl, Starship Troopers & Down and Out With The Dolls. As a painter/graphic artist her recent works have been seen around the world as backdrops for Ziggy Marley's tours - "Dragonfly" for the Dragonfly tour 2003-2004 and "LOVE" for the Love Is My Religion tour 2006-2007.

Angel was born in Chicago, Illinois to a musical family with a proud Puerto-Rican heritage. He has been the recording and touring percussionist for musician Ziggy Marley since 2001. As a drummer, Angel has been a member of several bands which include Mellowdrone, Revolver & Oslo. He also was the touring drummer for Dave Navarro's solo release "Trust No One" released on Capitol Records in 2001.
