Dean Anderson
Dean Anderson is among the world’s leading contemporary percussionists.

His credits include performances with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops and Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestras and the Pittsburgh Symphony. He is the principal percussionist of the Boston Ballet Orchestra and is the solo percussionist of the Boston Musica Viva, with whom he has performed numerous new works both in the United States and abroad. Dean has been a featured soloist with the Boston Symphony and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. He has recorded for Phillips, RCA, Noncsuch, CRI, Delos and Northeastern records.

Dean is Chairman of the Percussion Department of Berklee College of Music, with an enrollment of 400 student percussionists and a faculty consisting of eighteen of today’s top percussion educators.
