Pearl artist
Mike Dupke, and WASP, started their North American leg of their busy touring year in Los Angeles, CA. last week, playing to a packed house at the Canyon Club. WASP is out in support of their late 2009 release, “Babylon” whose instant success has already had the band rocking Europe for 2 solid months shortly after it’s release. Mike’s hard hitting and energetic drumming, which are essential for a WASP show, were in full force throughout the fast paced set, keeping the crowd on their feet and cheering loud. On this current run, Mike is out rocking his Pearl Reference series kit in his custom “blood drip” wrap. This kit consists of a 10x9 rack tom, 12x10 rack tom and a 13x11 rack tom whose deep tones flow perfectly into Mike’s 16x16 reference floor tom. For kicks, Mike’s kit includes 2 cannon-like 24x18 kick drums, and is topped off with a loud 14x6.5 Reference steel snare drum.
Mike and WASP will be on the road around the US from now until March 28th, when they take their 2010 International Tour down south to Mexico. For more information on how to witness Mike’s drumming in person, please check out
