Corporate Controller
Pearl Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of drums and percussion instruments has an immediate opening for a Corporate Controller working in it's US corporate headquarters in Nashville, TN. Reporting directly to the President the Corporate Controller is responsible for all aspects of the companies financial reporting, accounting practices, policies, procedures and internal controls.
Job Qualifications
• 5 plus years of related experience managing staff in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Broad knowledge of corporate Finance and Accounting with a strong understanding and experience in the application of principles of general, cost and tax accounting, budgets, credit and risk management and human resources supervision within a privately held company.
• Strong cash management skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting with current CPA, MBA preferred.
• Excellent communication, management and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical thinker with excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Excellent PC and spreadsheet skills and the ability to master proprietary software applications.
• Experience crafting, writing, implementing, and improving corporate policies and procedures.
• Ability to conduct detailed independent research, data, cost and budget analysis.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, monitor and improve accounting policies, procedures, controls, and financial reporting systems to assure proper internal business controls are maintained at all levels.
• Direct and manage all accounting transactions, payables, receivables, general ledger maintenance activities and human resources and related business activities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports and budgets analysis.
• Prepare annual budget proposals.
• Provide leadership and supervise staff in all reporting departments.
• Direct and manage the preparation of all tax filing, audit, banking and related activities.
• Ensure the compliance with general accepted accounting principles, all state and federal tax requirements, employment laws and related accepted business policies.
• Contribute to the overall company strategic direction.
• Manage other financial projects and initiatives as required.
