2006 WGI World Championships

Music City Mystique and Center Grove High School Victorious at WGI

The 2006 WGI World Championships culminated with victories for Music City Mystique (Independent World Class) and Center Grove High School (Scholastic World Class).

Music City Mystique, the only 6-time WGI Percussion World Champion, brought the house down with their program: “MC traveling sideshow is proud to present…Mystique!” This Freak Circus concept allowed them to dazzle the audience with feats and beats never before witnessed!

Center Grove High School from Greenwood, Indiana won its first set of back-to-back World Championships with a program entitled “Hybrid.” The program explored the mechanical features of robots and the emotional features of humans. These traits combined to form the hybrid concept.

Other Pearl Medalists included Avon HS (Scholastic World Class), Bellbrook High School (Scholastic Open Class), Pope High School (Scholastic Open Class), and East 80 (Independent A Class).
