MasterCast Hoops
Pearl's Exclusive Die-Cast Hoops:
Our MasterCast hoops are standard equipment on all Masters Series toms and floor toms. They significantly improve sound focus and provide an exciting explosive dynamic to the overall tone of each drum. MasterCast hoops also provide a smooth exclusive look and offer the ultimate in both strength, precision and tuning integrity.

"Precision-fit" Stainless Steel Tension Rods
Our Precision-Fit Stainless Steel Tension Rods are now standard equipment as are Masterworks-style rubber gaskets under the lugs. Pearl's Stainless Steel Tension Rods are machined, not forged, from a single piece of stainless steel to the most exacting tolerances in the industry. They feature super-smooth, precise tensioning, with absolutely no play. Each non-plated stainless steel
tension rod is matched with
a precision-machined brass
swivel nut for ultra-precise
metal-to-metal performance.

Die-Cast Claws
All Masters Series bass drums feature die-cast claws with recessed key bolts and rubber hoop isolators. The smooth formed die-cast design with recessed key bolt helps eliminate the rough edges and protruding bolts common with many bass drum claws from other manufacturers, and the rubber isolator provides complete protection for your lacquer finished hoop while allowing maximum resonance.

OptiMount Suspension System
Our OptiMount Suspension System mounts to the tom's tension rods and floats totally insulated on rubber cushions, providing the ultimate in stability while allowing the drum to resonate fully unrestricted. With OptiMount, the mounting hardware is completely removed from the drum shell providing a drastic improvement in resonance and sustain.
