| Gripping
the Keyboard Mallets
Extend your hand, palm side up.
Place the mallet into your open hand and grasp the
mallet between the fleshy part of the thumb and the
middle joint of the index finger about 4-6 inches from
the end of the shaft. The spot between the index finger
and the thumb is called the FULCRUM.
The shaft of the mallet should rest
naturally in the main crease of the palm with the remaining
three fingers curling naturally around the mallet.
Turn your hand over with the palm
facing the floor.
