Every year, Pearl and PAS set out to help create an atmosphere dedicated to presenting the best performers and educators in the drum/percussion world today. We hope we have succeeded in our effort to bring together a diverse collection of new discoveries and innovative works with this year’s PASIC 2002.  Judging from the overwhelming positive feed back, the answer seems to be a unanimous yes!

Mitch Markovich

Mitch Markovich is best known for being three-time undefeated consecutive National and five-time undefeated consecutive Illinois State Snare Drum Champion and has accumulated 12 National and 23 State Championships as a player and caption head.

Mitch's Clinic topic was "Why We Play High From a Musician's Perspective". Principles covered were "Proportional Interpretation", "Musical Integrity" "Honesty in Dynamic Range and Expression" and "Interpreting "Stamina" Correctly". Members of the Chicago Royal Airs Reunion Corps demonstration group are: L to R Steve Fagiano, Adam Slagowski, Mitch Markovich, Bill Morgan, and Rich Meyer.
